Answers to the most frequently asked questions about our vacation rentals.


How do I know I'm getting a good vacation rental?

SkyRun provides photos, maps, amenity details and reviews about the property you will be renting. Our staff has first-hand knowledge of each property, so don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions.

How do I rent a property?  What are the deposit and payment terms?

You can rent any of our properties by booking directly on this website!

When you book, 1/3 of your total reservation cost, or a minimum of $300, is charged as a non-refundable deposit to secure your rental. 30 days before your arrival, the remaining amount is due and becomes non-refundable.  At this time, the credit card we have on file will be automatically charged for the balance.

What's included?

Our rentals come fully furnished, including TVs, high-speed internet, linens and towels, dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials. 

We provide starter supplies such as:

  • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion (1 set per full bathroom)
  • Hand soap
  • Paper towels (1 roll)
  • Toilet paper (1 roll + 1 extra roll per bathroom)
  • Dishwasher detergent
  • Laundry detergent (at least 3 pods)
  • Trash bags (in each trash can + 1 extra).   

Should you need more than what is included in your starter supplies, we encourage you to bring items from home or purchase from a store on the island. 

What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in time is at 4pm.  If your property is available for an earlier check-in, SkyRun will contact you and inform you.  Normally, due to housekeeping needs and adhering to CDC cleaning standards, the entire time is required to ensure your home is ready for your stay.

Check-out time is at 11am.  Housekeeping is aware of all of our departures and may be arriving promptly at 11am to ready the property for the next arrival.  

How do I check-in?

For most properties, SkyRun utilizes a convenient keypad lock system which allows you to enter your vacation rental using a personalized access code, as opposed to having to pick up a key and worrying about keeping track of it during your stay and returning it afterwards. This also saves you the trouble of coming to a check-in center beforehand - a contact-free experience!

You will receive all of your arrival information via email approximately one week prior to your check in date.  Please check your spam folder, as some of our emails may be filtered out of your inbox. 

How do I check-out?

Because SkyRun is an easy, contact-free rental experience, you simply need to lock the house and head home at or before 11am on your departure day!

We do ask that you empty all trash and take it to the trash bins outside, load and start the dishwasher and wash any additional dishes in the sinkDue to time restraints, if housekeeping has to wash any additional dishes by hand or wait on the dishwasher, there will be an additional charge of $25 to your account. 

What are the house rules?

No smoking and no pets (unless specifically designated as pet-friendly) are allowed in the rentals.  No parties where more than the number of people the property sleeps are allowed in the rental at any time. As in your own home, renters are of course subject to citations for noise violations, etc, handed down by public officials. Remember, you are staying as a guest in someone's home, where much investment has been made to make your stay enjoyable.  Please treat all private property with the respect it deserves.

What should I bring to the beach?
  • Beach towels (some may be provided at your rental, but not always)
  • Umbrella(s)*
  • Hats
  • Sunscreen/Bug spray
  • Speaker/radio
  • Chairs*
  • Beach toys for kids

 

*Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent on some of our beaches.

 

What should I NOT take to a Galveston beach?
  • Glass containers are NOT allowed on Galveston beaches
  • Only some beaches allow motorized vehicles - including golf carts
  • Bonfires or campfires are not allowed
  • Fireworks are not allowed on any beaches
